Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) offer, and support for your child at Poppleton Ousebank Primary School.

Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Support is led in school by our SENDCo, Sam Cheek. Our SEND Guardian, Mr Karl Holden, provides daily support and advice for families and teachers.

Please see our SEND Report for information on special needs provision in school. For further information please talk to your child’s class teacher in the first instance. You can contact the SENDCo on

The Lead Trust SENDCo is Sarah Cope and you can contact her on

The Designated SEND Governor is Mrs Laura Wade and she can be contacted via the School Office. Our SEND governor works in partnership with the school SENDCo to ensure that we meet statutory requirements and spend our allocated budget to support pupils with additional needs. The full governing body receives a termly report from the school SENDCo.

Our Equal Opportunities policy outlines the expected support for all pupils with SEND at Poppleton, but in truth, they are naturally treasured and nurtured by all.

The school regularly reviews and updates the Accessibility Plan to ensure that we are meeting the needs of all pupils.
